Notes  Jacob Z. Kolb, "was born April 12, 1832. On July 5th, 1857, he was married to Maria Bowman (No. 281) and resides about two miles east of Berlin where he is engaged in farming. Some years ago he was ordained as deacon of the Mennonite Church for the Breslau field of labor. His family consisted of the following children, viz:"
